Oak Frames
Based in West Yorkshire, we deliver our frames both locally and nationwide. For projects far from us we come in as a specialist subcontractor, our service at it's simplest - frame design, fabrication, delivery and raising. We like to raise our own frames as we've cut them ourselves and we know exactly how they fit together.
Frame Plus
For projects close to our workshop near Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire we can take on a broader scope of work, offering site carpentry services including joists, rafters, stud walls, cladding, fitting joinery and our direct glazing system for oak frames. For those further afield we can also manufacture our own pre fabricated insulated stud panel system to allow us to deliver an enclosure system as part of the frame package to get you watertight as soon as possible.
Design
We design all of our oak frames in-house and each one is tailored specifically to your requirements. No off the peg frames here..!
As well as frame design we can offer detailed junction design between our frame and any other part of the build as well as designing timber enclosure systems. We work with your architect to advise on good solutions for all the little details that make a project run smoothly or not.
For structures requiring building control sign off all our designs are approved by a structural engineer and this sign off comes as part of the design package.
We don't currently submit planning applications ourselves but we can produce drawings for your architect to turn into a planning application.

Glazing
We have developed a beautiful and robust glazing system for oak frames that uses fixed glazing units planted onto the frame to allow clear sight lines through the frame to the outside. The system can also incorporate opening window and door units.
Glazing an oak frame is challenging work due to the movement the oak will go through as it slowly dries out and we have perfected our system to allow the oak frame to move whilst retaining weather tightness.
The system is perfect for giving an uncluttered feel to the room and large expanses of glazing can be achieved with minimal interruption. Oak frames can provide wonderfully light and airy living spaces.
Insulation, naturally
We're passionate about using natural materials in our buildings and if this is an option you'd like to consider we can help advise on what materials work and how to detail them well. We can take the installation on too if it's within our site work radius, or incorporate them into our pre fab panels for projects further afield.
Joinery
We love to take on bespoke joinery projects, either to compliment our frames or as projects in their own right. If you want to enhance your space with say a bespoke staircase, some fitted furniture or a set of gates we can design these to work harmoniously with your style of building.
