Oak extensions and out buildings

Extending the living area of your house with either a connected extension or a seperate outbuilding is a fantastic way to enhance your home, either to provide extra space for a growing family or just to provide a room with a different aspect and feel to what your home currently has. Oak frames can add not only character and warmth to a house but - with large glazed areas possible - light and views.

Project Details

A selection of our extensions and outbuildings we have completed over the years.

Often these additional living spaces require planning permission or listed building consent, but sometimes not so it's worth checking with your local planning authority whether you need to apply. Extensions will require building control approval and we work with either your chosen architect or one that we suggest to produce the necessary documents for this.

It might be the case that you have already received planning permission for a building that we can adapt an oak frame design to, or if you are just at the beginning of your ideas we can base the application around a design from scratch. We're flexible as to when we enter a project's timeline, though it's always best to be involved from the start if you already know an oak frame is what you're looking for.
